This book was really cute! Dell is the hero and he's a vet (yay!). Jade, the heroine, is his office manager and has been for over a year. They've had an attraction but haven't acted on it, yet!
Jade came to Sunshine, Idaho to run from a trauma that happened to her in Chicago and her family has been begging for her back. She has finally agreed to go back, but things heat up between Jade and Dell in the last few weeks and leave her wondering if she really wants to return to her old life.
The side characters are where this book truly comes to life. Adam (Dell's brother) is hilarious, especially since he keeps finding Dell and Jade in compromising/funny situations. The parrot is also really funny, especially when he repeats random bad words that come out at the wrong time.
I really liked it and will be checking out more Jill Shalvis books for sure!
